It all started when I got invited to a New Years party by a mutual friend. My apartment at the time was right in the middle of a neighborhood and that mutual friend was sending pictures of my apartment showing how close it was…but I didn’t go.

Fast forward a few months later I was at the gas station and here comes this big, loud, white truck pulling in. Definitely catches everyone’s attention, I watch him hop out this big thing and I thought “oh he’s cute” and well.. I looked ROUGH. Of course we leave at the same time, take the same turns, and it was like I was following him. I put two and two together when he pulled into his house right next to my apartment that he must be the guy who had the New Years party. I texted our mutual friend and found out his name. After following him on every social media platform and not getting a follow back I texted our friend again trying to figure out what was up with this dude. He put us in a group chat and we started texting..he seemed nice but I wasn’t sold yet.

After hanging out for a couple months I honestly couldn’t believe how amazing he was. Everything I wanted in someone, was him. But he had never dated someone with kids and I had two, so eventually we decided to introduce them. I was so nervous, I never ever brought someone around my kids. What if he decided it was too much for him? He didn’t want kids? All the thoughts were running through my head. We introduced them and right away they just..clicked. They loved him and he loved them.

Our life since has been full of many trips, adventures, and lots of unforgettable memories. We welcomed our baby girl into the world April 1st, 2024 and she’s just what our family needed. Lane is the most caring and loving father. Can’t imagine doing life without him by my side. Maybe it was fate.. but shoutout to the local gas station!

With that being said I cant wait to marry my best friend and celebrate with our friends and family!
